Kelly Sims begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Cincinnati Commandos after an extensive playing career that included stops in the NFL, CFL and Arena Football League.
A captain and four-year starter for the Cincinnati Bearcats (1988-1991), Sims went on to play two seasons in the NFL; Arizona Cardinals (1992) and the Atlanta Falcons (1993). He has also played for the Amsterdam Admirals (NFL Europe 1995-97), British Columbia Lions (CFL, 1993-1996, 1998) and the Buffalo Destroyers (AFL, 1999-2000).
